My best bud Julia and I took a vacation to New Orleans while SGC was happening and saw/did way too much in 5 days. As expected, Dennis McNett/Wolfbat Studios and supporting printmakers from all over the place stole the show.. BFT Wolfbat 2012 Flickr. Huge, huge thanks to my friend Patch Somerville for letting us stay at his awesome place in the Bywater!

I just spent a month as a printmaking resident at Vermont Studio Center and it was so amazing! Aside from getting a lot of new projects & ideas going, I’ve been surrounded by some of the most passionate & beautiful people I’ve ever met. I’ve also realized that I need an actual studio space with real walls and a real floor instead of a corner in my bedroom. Take me back
collagraph plates in progress

The past few weeks have been a tad bit crazy.. in a good way. First off, I am no longer living in Jamaica Plain.. I miss it terribly. But I do have a lot of work up at Vee Vee on Centre! They’ll be on display until october 15th & are very much for sale.
Right after the opening for the show on JP’s first Thursday, I packed up and moved to Northampton, MA. I’ve begun interning at Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence, a shop dedicated to finding & sharing information on more sustainable and non-toxic practices. It’s only been my first week but I’ve already had a few eye-opening experiences. There are a lot of details and variables that go into the research projects and they’re all shared on the Zea Mays website, like.. this!
